On Thursday, February 16, 2023, Deputy Saydie Bradley, along with other deputies from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, arrived at W US 67. This was in regards to seizing chickens on the property. While there, Bradley observed an ongoing public nuisance. A report was made, a 30-Day Notice, and two written warnings will be issued to the property owner.
On Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at approximately 4 p.m. Sgt. Andre Smoot responded to an animal complaint regarding a loose dog attempting to attack other dogs in the neighborhood. An owner of the loose dog was located and a Dog Prohibited from Running at Large form was completed and a citation was issued for Unvaccinated Dog. Pertinent information was gathered, and a report was completed.
On Thursday, March 2, 2023, Deputy Ira Smith was dispatched to FM 2126. This was for a domestic disturbance call. Upon arrival, Deputy Smith spoke with a victim, who claimed a suspect tried to kick her. The parties were separated without further incident.
