Mac was born Frederick ‘Mac’ Wesley Boyet on June 26, 1945 in Coleman, Texas to Robert and Miller Boyet. He was raised in Santa Anna graduating from Santa Anna High School in 1964 and continued his education at Abilene Christian University. Mac enjoyed a lifelong oilfield career. He was a member of the Elm Street Church of Christ in Coleman.
Mac had a deep appreciation and love of all things music, politics or oilfield. Anyone that spent ten minutes with him could testify to this. He had a passion for sports that included the Dallas Cowboys or any sport his kids or grandkids were involved in. Mac spent many hours fantasizing, researching and youtubing how to work on sailboats. Mac could intelligently converse on most topics and surprise you with his random knowledge.
He was a calming presence and kind soul that always kept other’s needs above his own. Mac would take strangers into his home and give you the shirt off his back. He loved in his own quiet way but cherished the relationships amongst his family the most. His greatest desire was for his family to have strong relationships with one another and Jesus Christ. He was a loving father, grandad (Papa Mac), brother and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents Johnny & Miller Dee Fleming.
Those left to cherish his memory are children Lauri & husband Devin Barge, Danielle & husband Darren Peck, Amy & husband Carlos DeLaGarza. Chris & wife Ashley Boyet, Mandy & husband Martin Petroff and Kyle Boyet & Ember Goff. Grandchildren Taylor, Coleman, Ethan, Madison, Lillian, Draven, Ashlyn, Carissa, Landon, Walker, Briggs, Charlie, Haiden, Felicity & Ryland; Great Grandchildren Grayson & Maverick; Brothers Bob Boyet, Pat Boyet & Terry Fleming. He also leaves behind numerous Nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and two beloved fur babies (Dixie & Sugar). He is loved and will be greatly missed.
