The Early Fire Department shared the following information on Sunday night’s structure fire, which rendered the home a total loss:
At 7:07 p.m., the Early Fire Department was dispatched to the 6400 block of U.S. 377 East for a structure fire fully involved. Early Fire arrived on scene at the scene at 7:11 p.m. to find the house 3/4 involved with heavy fire.
Blanket and Zephyr Volunteer Fire Departments, as well as the Brownwood Fire Department, were requested for mutual aid. At 8:02 p.m. the fire was out with a heavy overhaul to follow. The occupants were not home at the time of the fire.
The house was a total loss and the fire is under investigation by County Fire Marshal Buddy Preston.
Life Guard EMS and the Brown County Sheriffs Office was also on scene.
