The Brownwood Police Department issued the following press release Monday:
On Saturday, February 11, 2023, at approximately 2:40 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1700 block of 10th St. regarding a report of harassment.
When officers arrived on scene, they met with a female, identified as 46-year-old Josie Martinez-Keeney. A Communications check revealed Martinez to have a warrant for her arrest out of Palo Pinto County.
Martinez was arrested and the items in her pocket were removed. Inside a coin purse, officers located a small Ziploc type baggy containing a white crystal like substance believed to be Methamphetamine. Also contained within her property were 3 pills, later identified as prescription pain pills.
Martinez was further charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 and PG3 along with the warrant.
