STEPHENVILLE – The Brownwood Lions and Lady Lions were both dealt their second straight District 5-4A soccer setbacks as the Stephenville Yellow Jackets and Honeybees both remained undefeated on the season Friday night.

The No. 20 Lady Lions came up on the short end of a 1-0 decision to the No. 4 Honeybees (11-0-1, 4-0), which followed Wednesday’s 2-1 loss at No. 2 Salado.

Meanwhile, the Lions dropped a 3-2 encounter to the Yellow Jackets (9-0-2, 4-0), while Brownwood receiving a pair of goals from Junior Martinez. The Lions were downed by a 2-1 count at home against Salado this past Tuesday.

The Lady Lions (8-3-1, 2-2) and Lions (6-9-1, 2-2) both resume district action as they host Gatesville in a doubleheader beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Gordon Wood Stadium.
