The Brownwood Lyric Theatre opens this weekend with Agatha Christi’s, “Murder On The Orient Express.” The world-famous novel has been adapted into play format by comedic playwright Ken Ludwig who was commissioned by Christi’s family. The performance will bring the audience both humor and drama as they experience the world-famous detective, Hercule Poirot, race to solve the who-done-it murder mystery.
Surrounding the detective is a stylish cast of characters who are all suspects. Each character in the play is unique and the roles are filled by both veteran and new actors of the Lyric theatre. “For many of our cast and crew, this production is a chance to see some of their favorite literary characters come alive on stage, and their enthusiasm has translated into their performance,” says director Darlyne Ervin.
Shows for the production are this weekend and next, February 10-19th. Tickets and seats can be reserved online, or purchased at the box office.
