COLEMAN – In District 8-2A basketball make-up action from last Tuesday’s postponement due to weather, the Bangs Dragons and Lady Dragons dropped contests to Coleman Monday night.
The Dragons slipped to 0-7 against league foes with their 55-26 loss to the Bluecats.
Bangs trailed 16-2 after one quarter, 31-9 at halftime, and 44-17 after three quarters.
Guy Funk finished with a team-high 11 points for the Dragons trailed by Tyson Woods with five, Weston Jundt and Braxton Wommack with three each, and Nate Stoffer Hunter Newton with two points apiece,
In girls action, the Lady Dragons dipped to 3-6 in league action with a 26-13 loss to the Bluekatts.
Bangs led 4-2 after one quarter, trailed 11-6 at halftime, and faced a 16-8 deficit heading into the fourth period.
Rylie Guerrero paced Bangs with eight points followed by Neeley Bradley and Jadyn Miller with three each and Kasey Solis with two points.
The Dragons and Lady Dragons will venture to Roscoe Tuesday night.
