The 2022 Brownwood Lions football season – which featured the program’s first district championship since 2010 during a 10-3, area championship varsity campaign, as well as a combined 23-7 record for the three subvarsity squads – was celebrated Mondaynight with the annual Mother’s Club Banquet held at the Coggin Avenue Church Connection Center.
Among the evening’s events, the Offensive MVP and Defensive MVP were awarded to Konlyn Anderson and Chance Jones, respectively. Anderson rushed for 1,539 yards and 25 touchdowns while catching 8 passes for 56 yards. Jones finished with 123 tackles, 5 sacks, 1 interception and 1 punt block.
Scholarships were awarded to senior Lions as well, as two Deborah Ellis Memorial Scholarships were presented to Isaac Gray and Chris Robinson; the first Leslie Adams Memorial Scholarship went to Jordan Leach; and the Chris Hart Memorial Scholarship was bestowed upon Jaiden Perez.
