Patsy Townsend

Patsy Louise Callaway Townsend, age 83 passed away peacefully on Friday, December 30, 2022. Her family will host a visitation on Tuesday, January 3rd from 5 to 7 pm at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Funeral Service will be 10 am Wednesday January 4th in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at the Blanket Cemetery Pavilion.

Patsy was born on Saturday, August 5, 1939 in Cisco, TX to H. H. Callaway and Orella Bell Arrington Callaway. She graduated from Cisco High School in 1957 and married Robert H. Townsend on May 28, 1957. Patsy and Robert began a life together and were blessed with 5 children. People may remember Patsy from working at the Golden Age Nursing Home in Early as a CNA, Blanket ISD Cafeteria and the Single Stop Convenience Store in Blanket. Patsy enjoyed sewing, embroidery, reading, rock collecting, and being mama to her children.

Patsy is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Kaimimoku and husband Joseph, Bobbie Bundick and husband Travis, Drucilla Bowlin and husband Barry, and bonus daughter Darlene Teeler and husband Levi; sons, Joseph Townsend and wife Lori, Harold Townsend and wife Beverly; sister-in-laws, Teenie Sharp and husband Jimmy, Martha Townsend and Mary Callaway; brother-in-law Gene Farley; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way; 3 great-great-grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert H. Townsend; her parents; brother Robert Callaway; sister Betty Farley; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
