The Brownwood Fire Department issued the following press release Thursday morning:
A report of a structure fire came in at 11:55 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14. The Brownwood Fire Department was called to 1606 Main Blvd. Upon arrival, crews were presented with heavy fire showing from the structure. Crews pulled handlines for a defensive fire attack. The structure was completely involved. The fire origin and cause are undetermined due to the intensity and extent of the fire.
The structure was a total loss. No damage to any surrounding structures or equipment.
Chief 93, Chief 92,Truck 9, Engine 9, Engine 93 responded for Brownwood along with assistance from Early Fire, Atmos, Oncor, and the City of Brownwood Utilities Department.
It took just over an hour to get the fire under control and units were on the scene for just over three hours.
