Elaine Blackwell

Elaine (Walls) Blackwell, age 80 passed away peacefully on Monday, December 5, 2022 in Gainesville, Texas.

Elaine was born on May 1, 1942 to parents, Otis and Evelyn Walls. She graduated from Early High School in 1960. She married Tommy Blackwell on August 12, 1960, a union that continued for 62 years. They were blessed with two children, Toni and Scott. In addition to being a dedicated homemaker and wife, Elaine spent many hours helping Tommy with his class ring business.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law T. W. (Mutt) Blackwell; mother-in-law Verna Maye Blackwell; and sister-in-law Shirley Walls.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Tom Blackwell of Lake Kiowa; daughter Toni Dozier and husband Kevin of Gainesville; son Scott Blackwell of Lake Kiowa; brother David Walls of Richardson; brother-in-law Lance Blackwell and wife Mary Lynn of Brownwood; brother-in-law Gary Mack Blackwell and wife Stacey of Inez; granddaughter Melanie Dozier and friend Marth; grandson Bryce and wife Alecia; a niece and numerous nephews.

A celebration of life service in Lake Kiowa will be planned for a later date.
