VCT Tile Removal, Replacement & Seal Coating
Brown County Building – The Oaks Rite of Passage

2. All bids must be submitted by January 13th, 2023. No e-mailed bids. All bids must be submitted
in a sealed envelope to the Brown County Clerk’s office marked “SEALED BID, THE OAKS
VCT TILE PROJECT”.
3. All sealed bids will be opened and read at the Commissioners Court Meeting January
17th, 2023.
4. All late bids will be rejected.
Project Title
“The Oaks VCT Tile Project”
Project Requirements
1. You are expected to measure the project area to assure the proper square footage.
2. This project will include but is not limited to:
a. Main Hall – Removal and disposal of approximately 1120 Sq. Ft. of existing VCT Tile.
b. Main Hall – Removal and disposal of 4” Cove Base both sides of Main Hallway.
c. Main Hall – Floor Prep.
d. Main Hall – Install approximately 2240 Sq. Ft. of new VCT Tile in accordance of
generally accepted practices.
e. Main Hall – Install new 4” Cove Base both sides of Main Hallway.
f. Main Hall – Wax & Seal New VCT Tile
g. Main Hall – Match existing VCT tile as closely as possible.
h. Hall #3 – The hall is 5’ 4” across. There are two cut outs in the concrete floor.
i. First is 4’ 7” Long x 34” Wide
ii. Second is 5’ Long x 40” Wide
i. Hall #3 – Remove remainder of Terrazzo Tile beside the two cutouts.
i. Prep both cuts to 5’ Long x 5’ 4” Wide
j. Hall #3 – Install ceramic accent tile in both cuts level with the remaining Terrazzo Tile.
Legal Relations and Disclaimers
The proposed work of this project is to professionally remove existing VCT Tile and 4” Cove Base and
replace with new VCT Tile and 4” Cove Base in the Main Hallway. To remove Terrazzo Tile along the
outer edges of the two floor cuts on Dorm Hallway #3 and replace with Ceramic Tile to accent the
existing Terrazzo Tile.
The winning contractor bid will be required to have Performance Bond and be Bonded and Insured.
All warranties will be included with the contractors bid.
