Michael David Jackson, age 64, of Brownwood passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 5, at New Beginnings Church with Pastor Kelly Crenshaw officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville. The family will receive friends from 3 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 4, at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
Michael was born on May 2, 1958, in Odessa to Charles Elmer Jackson and Wilda Louise (Whisenhunt) Jackson. He married Lorenna (Lori) Stanley on September 22, 1975. Michael served his country in the Navy from 1975 – 1981. He worked as a route salesman for Roysales Company and Jackson Distributing and was active in the Jaycees from 1989 – 1998. Michael was very much a family man and enjoyed playing computer games.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lorenna (Lori) Jackson; his son-in-law, Todd Vanmeter; and his grandsons, Chance C. Vanmeter and Adam Y. Vanmeter. He is also survived nephews, many cousins, and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Wilda Jackson; his brothers, Roy Nelson Jackson, Elmer Jackson, and Clois Jackson; his daughter, Kimberly Michele Vanmeter; and his grandparents, Elmer and Ollie Jackson, and Robert and Minnie Whisenhunt.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Corrine T. Smith Animal Center.
