Enjoy a hot chili lunch, and get an early start on holiday gift shopping this Friday at the Brownwood Art Center, 215 Fisk Ave.  The meal will be served from 11:30 to 1:30, and includes chili, with onions, cheese, and Fritos on the side, water or tea, and two cookies for $10.  Eat in the Art Center gallery, or take it to go.

The event also includes a miniature and small art sale, and a silent auction.  Art sale items will be affordably priced from $25-$45, and most are donated by local artists to support the Art Center.  Silent auction items include larger framed art, as well as a variety of fiber arts, ceramics, and art supplies.  Bidding opens Thurs. Dec. 1 at 11:30 am, and closes Friday, Dec. 2, at 1:30 pm.

The Brownwood Art Association celebrates its 95th anniversary this year, and is always welcoming new members and volunteers.  Gallery exhibits change monthly, and groups that meet regularly include photographers, fiber and textile artists, people painters, and a community drum circle.   The Art Center is also available to rent for private events.  For more information, visit www.brownwoodart.net, find us on Facebook, or call 641-2916.
