The Brownwood Lions subvarsity football teams added three more wins to their season tally – including two in District 2-4A Division I action – Thursday night to move to 21-6 overall for the season.
JV Lions 20, Lubbock Estacado 12
LUBBOCK – The Brownwood JV Lions improved to 3-0 against district competition and 8-1 on the season with Thursday night’s road victory.
Braeden Stacks threw a touchdown pass, ran for another score and tossed a two-point conversion pass to Ross Strasner.
Noah Gonzalez chipped in 140 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Defensively, the Lions forced a couple of turnovers and limited Estacado to a pair of touchdowns.
The JV Lions will conclude their season next Thursday at home against Andrews.

Freshman Lions 56, Lubbock Estacado 0
LUBBOCK – The Brownwood Freshman Lions moved to 3-0 in district play and 7-2 overall with a thrashing of Estacado Thursday night.
Aiden Driskill fired three touchdown passes to Jermiah Chacon, Carson Noe and Raven Prado, while Robbie Robinson hurled two scoring tosses to Chacon and Stone Ratliff.
Driskill and Brinson Martin chipped in touchdowns on the ground, and Aaron Edmonds returned a punt for a touchdown.
Eliuth Valenciano converted all eight extra-point attempts successfully.
Defensively for the Lions, stalwarts included Ratliff (8 tackles, 3 for loss, 1 interception), Reese Bishop (5 tackles), Martin (4 tackles), and Aviud Gomez (1 tackle, 1 forced fumble).
The Freshman Lions will wrap up their season next Thursday at home against Andrews.

Combined Team 24, Abilene Wylie 0
ABILENE – The Brownwood Subvarsity Combined Team improved to 6-3 on the season with a road victory over Abilene Wylie.
Dallas Shumaker rushed for one touchdown and threw scoring tosses to Durham Brown and Aiden Pena.
Defensively, Trevor Wallace and Neveah Menefield recorded interceptions for the Lions.
Other defensive standouts included LaJon Bush, Ilias Torres, Kaden Avalos, Jon Bush, Stephen Rodriguez, and Raul Eberhardt.
