BANGS – The Bangs Lady Dragons rallied from a two-set deficit to knock off Coleman in five sets, 20-25, 21-25, 25-14, 25-13, 15-5 in District 8-3A volleyball action Saturday afternoon.
“Coleman came out on fire and ready to play,” said Bangs head coach Cheyanne Lovelady. “I was very proud of the girls for pulling together and winning the last three sets.”
With the win, Bangs (11-17, 3-3) has positioned itself to finish no worse than third place in the final league standings and earn a postseason berth. The Lady Dragons visit Hawley at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and host Ranger at 11 a.m. next Saturday to wrap up the regular season.
Jadyn Miller paced the Lady Dragons with 17 kills followed by Neeley Bradley with seven, Kasey Solis with six, and Ava Boren and Raylee Hutchins with three each.
Bradley dished out 14 assists and Laynie Evans added 11, while Claire Auldridge was credited with one.
Bradley also served six aces trailed by Hutchins and Miller with four apiece, and Boren and Evans each with one.
Defensively, Miller collected 17 digs followed by Hutchins with 11, Evans with nine, Julianna Ethridge with seven, Bradley with six, Boren with five, and Solis, Auldridge and Cloey Petty with one apiece.
Bradley and Auldridge recorded the two blocks for the Lady Dragons.
