DUBLIN – The Early Lady Horns ended their eight-game victory drought in District 8-3A volleyball action with a five-set triumph at Dublin, 25-21, 23-25, 18-25, 25-15, 15-10 Tuesday night.

Gabby Leal paced the Lady Horns’ attack with 12 kills followed Stoney Laughlin and Averey Horton with five each, Dakota Barksdale and Trinity Torrez with four apiece, Matty Boswell and Jenna Hataway with two each, and Madison Torrez with one.

Trinity Torrez dished out 29 assists and served one ace, while Boswell led the way with three aces, Saydie Vasquez chipped in a pair, and Hataway, Madison Torrez and Katie Whitehead also finished with one ace each.

Defensively, Boswell collected nine digs followed by Hataway, Horton and Vasquez with one apiece.

At the net, Barksdale and Leal both finished with one block.

Early (9-18, 2-8) will host district front-runner Peaster at noon Saturday.
