ROUND ROCK – The Early Lady Horns cross country team competed at the Round Rock McNeil Invitational over the weekend, held at Old Settlers Park, the site of the UIL state championships.
Early finished 19th out of 24 teams in the Class A-3A division, led by the Madison Torrez’s 26th-place time of 13.23 out of 199 runners. Also competing for the Lady Horns were Trinity Torrez (112th, 14:57), Preslee Richmond (114th, 14:59), Brooke Miller (145th, 15:48), and Gyselle Mariscal (178th, 17:36.>
Three Early Longhorns also competed at the meet as Aaron Bass placed 69th out of 212 runners in a time of 18:43, followed by Will Prochaska (92nd,19:11), and Calvin Clubb (96th, 19:18).
The next meet for Early is Wednesday at Dublin, which will also be the site of the District 8-3A cross country meet on Oct. 10.
