The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of September 21:
LAKE BROWNWOOD
SLOW. Water slightly stained; 81-83 degrees; 7.11 feet low. Bass are good to 8.57 pounds on crankbaits around docks with brush 12-20 feet of water and on shaky heads and jigs. Crappie to 1.25 pounds are fair on minnows suspended under docks. White bass good on crankbaits and jigs under the lights. Catfish are poor.
LAKE CISCO
GREAT. Water stained; 79 degrees; 7.32 feet low. Catfish are good on live perch and dough bait. Bass are good on rattletraps in deep water. After the rain, the bass were biting on topwater lures. No reports on crappie. Report by Jason Miller, Lake Cisco Rentals.
LAKE COLEMAN
FAIR. Slightly stained; 82 degrees; 5.10 feet low. Crappie are fair with jigs or minnows on brush piles. Hybrid striped bass are good on slabs moving quickly over the main lake chasing bait balls. Bass are fair on green pumpkin jigs, black and blue jigs, shad color swim jigs.
LAKE O.H. IVIE
GREAT. Water stained; 80 degrees; 21.65 feet low. White bass are great with live bait and crankbaits. Crappie are good with jigs and minnows. Largemouth bass are good. Catfish are fair on prepared baits, cut bait and live bait. Report by Concho Park and Marina.
LAKE PROCTOR
SLOW. Water stained; 82 degrees; 7.64 feet low. White bass and hybrid bass are poor on Cordell slabs. Black bass are poor. Catfish are fair on cut bait. Report by Mac Glazier, Lake Proctor Guide Service.
