The Early Police Department posted the following information regarding recent arrests on its Facebook page Tuesday morning:
On Sept. 6, officers arrested Casanova Augustus Pressley for possession of marijuana after a traffic stop. Officers smelled marijuana coming from the car when they approached the driver then searched the vehicle and located a baggie containing marijuana.
On Sept. 8, officers received a call for a reckless driver in the 1000 blk of Early Blvd. Officers located and stopped the vehicle and began a field sobriety check after they could smell a strong odor of alcohol beverage. The driver Pedro Isidro Ruiz-Martinez fail the field sobriety test and was placed under arrest for DWI 2nd offense and No driver’s license.
On Sept. 8, officers responded to an apartment building on Oak Street regarding an injured woman who had been assaulted. Upon officers’ arrival they located the female who had obviously been assaulted. Lifeguard EMS arrived and transported the female to Hendricks medical center for treatment. Officers obtained information on what happened and the suspect information and began searching the area. After searching for some time officers located the suspect, Gino Richard Valadez passed out from intoxication. Valadez was arrested and charged with public intoxication and Assault family violence – strangulation. Valadez was taken to the Brown County jail.
On Sept. 10, officers responded to McDonald Park on park street in Early regarding an intoxicated male causing issues with the kids playing basketball and attempting to pick a fight with them. As officers arrived the suspect had just left the scene but drove back up after making the block. When the suspect, Raymond Dean Singleton saw the police car he turned to leave. Officers stopped Singleton within a couple blocks and provided him with a field sobriety test which he failed. When officers arrested singleton, he resisted arrest and attempted to fight with officers. Officers arrested Singleton for DWI, Disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Singleton was taken to Brown County Jail
On Sept. 10, officers stopped a vehicle on Meadow Glen drive for a traffic violation. The officer could smell marijuana in the vehicle and the driver could not produce a valid drivers license. The driver was detained and officers searched the car and located marijuana and a bottle of tramadol with no prescription label on it. The driver Miche Abdul Jabbar Richards was placed under arrest for possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana and driving while license suspended. Richards was taken to the Brown County Jail.
