Antonio Bernal

Antonio Bernal passed peacefully at home on September 12, 2022 at the age of 84.
He was born on October 8, 1937 in Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico to Cecilio & Carlota Bernal. Antonio married the love of his life Maria Venacio on February 20, 1964 & they celebrated over 57 years of marriage.
Antonio was a devoted Christian to his church. He was also a devoted father and grandfather to his family. Antonio was a ranch worker for over 60 years. He started ranching in Junction, TX where he lived until finally retiring at the age of 80, and made his full-time residency in Santa Anna, TX. He enjoyed playing his guitar & singing every Sunday at church. He also liked fishing and spending time with family.
Antonio was preceded in death by his loving wife Maria Bernal, his son Armando Bernal, his parents, 2 sisters, and 1 brother.
Antonio is survived by children: Charlotte Govea (daughter) & Auerlio Govea (son-in-law), Julio Bernal (son), Elvira Villarreal (daughter) & Javier Villarreal (son-in-law-), Richard Bernal (son) & Gloria Bernal (daughter-in-law). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Dr. Butka & Solaris Hospice staff for their wonderful care of Antonio.
Visitation will be held on September 14th at Henderson Funeral Home from 5 – 7PM.
Funeral Services will be at Iglesia Bautista El Cordero with Brother Raul Lopez officiating on Thursday, September 15th at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow at Santa Anna Cemetery after services.   Service under the direction and care of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna.
