Dottie Lee Holleman

Dottie Lee Holleman, 79, of Rising Star, Texas, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Jordan Springs Cemetery, Brownwood, Texas. Burial was under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.

Dottie was born November 13, 1942 in Hays County, Texas. She married Dale Holleman May 24, 1975 and they spent over 35 years together before Dale’s passing. Dottie was a homemaker and business owner, she owned and operated the Brookesmith Grocery and after meeting Dale, they owned the Early Meat Market and Kyle Auto Parts. She loved plants and flowers, there were always flower beds and plants all over her house. Dottie loved making homemade crafts, Christmas stockings for the kids and grandkids. She loved doing needlepoint pillows and making things for everyone. Dottie was always up for a camping and fishing trip, anything to spend time with the family.

Dottie is survived by her son, Robert Feltner and wife Kim of San Antonio; Leisha Self and husband Lucko of Rising Star; daughter-in-law, Kim Feltner of Winchell; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Dottie was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Holleman; sons, Harold Feltner & James Feltner; her parents, George & Dorothy Roberts; sisters, Betty Allen & Nancy Allen.
