According to the website of the Comanche Chief newspaper, Monday, August 22 will mark the first day of the Capital Murder trial of 22-year-old Brendan Jenkins who is accused of murdering three Comanche County residents in 2020.
On July 25, 2020, the Comanche County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in the Oliver Springs Community in the northern portion of the county after the caller admitted to shooting 63-year-old Earl Stephens the third, 62-year-old Patricia Stephens and 18-year Ashlyn Smith.
Jenkins, who is from Plano, was booked into the Comanche County Jail at the time on a charge for capital murder of multiple persons and his bond was set at $3 million.
