Anne Richardson, age 66, of Santa Anna, died Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Hendrick Medical Center in Brownwood.
The family will host a time of visitation and reflections on from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel.
Family and friends are invited to a funeral service following the visitation at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Todd King, pastor at High Mesa Cowboy Church in Brownwood, officiating. Interment will follow in the Rockwood Cemetery in southern Coleman County.
Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.
She was born Virginia Ann Snodgrass on August 25, 1955, in Midland, Texas to Johnny Snodgrass and Virginia Rush Snodgrass. Ann grew up in Midland where she attended school. Ann’s caring spirit led her to a career in nursing. She graduated from Ranger Jr. College in Brownwood with a degree in nursing. Ann worked for over 34 years in healthcare specializing in geriatric care. She loved her career and took excellent care of her patients. Ann was a very cheerful and outgoing person. She never met a stranger and would start a conversation with anyone. Ann was a highly creative person and enjoyed cooking and spending time with family. She loved to travel and experience various places and cultures. Ann’s bright smile and happy personality will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding Ann in death are her parents, Johnny Snodgrass and Virginia Rush; her daughter, Kimberly Jackson; her stepson, Lee Roy Richardson; and two brothers, Terry Newman, and Tex Thurman.
Ann is survived by two children, Andy Richardson of Santa Anna, and Sheila Owen and husband Greg of Zephyr; her grandchildren, Amanda Carr, Halie Richardson, Justin Richardson, Kassidy Snodgrass, Daniel Reeves, and Jessica Taylor; numerous great-grandchildren; one brother, Tommy Thurman of Houston; and her longtime companion and father of her children, Max Richardson of Santa Anna.
Pallbearers will be Greg Owen, Jake Moore, Clint Beck, Charles Snodgrass, Jr., Daniel Reeves, and Everett LeMond. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Cheaney and Jessica Taylor.
