The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of August 3:
LAKE BROWNWOOD
Fishing is slow. Water slightly stained; 86-88 degrees; 5.84 feet low. In the Texas heat, fishing is tough with fish clinging under docks, or in open water following bait balls.
Bass are slow to three pounds scattered all over the lake biting on shaky heads and crankbaits.
Crappie to one pound are excellent on minnows in 12-15 feet of water over brush piles and structures.
White bass are slow on crankbaits and jigs under the lights at night and some schooling action throughout the day.
Catfish are good on prepared baits around baited holes and the flats.
LAKE CISCO
Fishing is great. Water stained; 84 degrees; 6.33 feet low.
The crappie are good, tearing up the minnows around 11:00 p.m.
Bass and perch bite throughout the day is best on worms.
Blue catfish are hitting on cut shad at night.

LAKE COLEMAN
Fishing is good. Water slightly stained; 85-87 degrees; 4.45 feet low.
Crappie are good with jigs or minnows on brush piles.
Hybrid striped bass are good on imitation. They are chasing bait fish all over the lake.
Bass are good with fish to six pounds on a green pumpkin jigs, black blue jigs, and shad color swim jigs.
LAKE O.H. IVIE
Fishing is great. Water clear; 89 degrees; 20.75 feet low.
White bass are great with live bait and crankbaits.
Crappie great with jigs and minnows.
Largemouth bass are good.
Catfish are fair on prepared baits and live bait.

LAKE PROCTOR
Fishing is slow. Water stained; 85 degrees; 5.97 feet low.
Hybrid striper and sand bass are fair with topwater action at sunrise in 2-4 feet of water.
Crappie are poor in 12-15 feet of water.
Black bass are poor.
Catfish are fair on cut shad.
