Bonnie Shaw White was born May 04, 1929 in Mills County, Texas, to O.V. Shaw and Johnnie Shaw, nee Geddes. She died at her home at the age of 93. She and her husband Louis L. White were married in 1951, and she has lived in Brown County since 1962. After graduating from Brownwood High School, she attended college at Howard Payne University for one year. She was employed by General Telephone Company where she worked for 28 years. Mrs. White was a member of the Salt Creek Baptist Church since 1962.
She enjoyed bird watching, cooking, sewing, gardening, fishing with her husband, and living on her family farm. Bonnie was definitely one of the best cooks in Texas. She loved all her many family members young and old, and loved visiting them as often as she could.
Bonnie is survived by her two daughters, eldest daughter Teresa Drisdale of Brownwood, Texas, daughter Melinda Johnson and her husband Joe Johnson of Shreveport, Louisiana, niece Melissa Abel-Skipper and her husband Mike Skipper of McQueeny, Texas, niece Kathy White Moore of Santa Ynez, California, and nephew Ed White of Maui, Hawaii. Surviving grandchildren and great grandchildren are as follows: granddaughter Stefani and her husband Todd Mathis of Austin, Texas and their two children Presley Mathis and Paisley Mathis, granddaughter Chelsea Bond and her husband Dan Bond of Raleigh, North Carolina and their children Tildon Saucillo, and Cerys Merriman, grandsons Ryland Johnson of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Lauren Johnson of Collinsville, Illinois, grandnieces Ashley Hall and Lindsay Pietsch and their children, brother Billy Jack Shaw and his wife Eileen and their daughter Laurie Grubb and her children and spouse, brother Wayne Shaw and his wife Dianne and their daughters Amy Reagan and Angie Huftstutler and their children and spouses, sister Tinker James and her husband Bobby James and their children Keri Kellar and Kyle James and their children, her sister Perry Leigh Leske and her daughter Linda Joyce Brockett.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Johnnie Leta Stewart, brother-in-law Lawrence J. White, and son-in-law Joe C. Drisdale.
