Adan “Adam” Castaneda, age 58, of Brownwood, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022 in Abilene. Visitation and Rosary for Adam will be held from 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday, July 12, at Heartland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, July 13, at Saint Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
Adam was born on September 2, 1963 in Villa Union, Coahulia, Mexico to Rosa Solis and Inocencio Castaneda. He moved to Texas at a young age and attended Brownwood High School. He was an employee of Kohler for 29 years. Adam married Tammi Bryson on May 22, 2021. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching old westerns, playing checkers, and listening to country music. Adam loved horses, family gatherings, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Adam is survived by his wife, Tammi Castaneda; 3 sons, Chris Castaneda and wife Florence, Michael Castaneda and wife Heather, and Daniel Castaneda; his mother, Rosa Solis Castaneda; brothers, Jose Erasmo Castaneda and wife Martha, Pascual Castaneda, Jose Manuel Castaneda and wife Lydia, and Francisco Castaneda Sr. and wife Martina; sisters, Rosa Sierra and husband Jose, and Lydia Castaneda. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Inocencio Castaneda Sr.; brother Inocencio Castaneda Jr.; and sister in law, Leticia Cruz Castaneda.
