The Early Police Department posted the following on its Facebook page Tuesday morning:
Officers responded to the 100 block of McDonald Drive in Early regarding a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival officers found 3 individuals with marks on them indicating an assault took place. After investigation officers learned that David Anthony Moreno had assaulted his mother, then assaulted a 17-year-old brother who attempted to step in and stop the assault. David Moreno was arrested and charged with 2 charges of Assault with Bodily injury-family violence. Moreno was booked into the Brown County Jail.
On July 2, officers located a vehicle westbound on Early Blvd. in the 300 block that was swerving from lane to lane. Officers stopped the vehicle and the driver was given a field sobriety test which he failed. The driver was taken to the Emergency Room for a blood test then taken to the Brown County Jail and charged with DWI 2nd due to a previous conviction.
Officers issued multiple citations over the weekend for discharging firearms in the City Limits.
