All 4 Brownwood Bombers teams place in top 3 at weekend tournament

All 4 Brownwood Bombers teams competed this weekend in a 34 team tournament in Brownwood. All 4 teams placed in the top 3.
12u Bombers claimed 1st place! They went undefeated on the weekend. Congrats to Eva Espinosa and Amarrea Thomas for getting pool play MVP awards chosen by opposing coaches. Congrats to Andie Simpson for earning the game ball. She had some key catches behind the plate!
Congrats to Corinne Sheffield who was selected by the opposing coaches as MVP in the ship. Corinne  pitched 13 innings, gave up 7 hits, 0 Earned runs, had 17 strikeouts and kept teams to a .152 batting average for the tournament. Corinne also had 3 RBI’s in the championship game.
Burkleigh Gonzalez led in batting average on the weekend with an .800 avg. Eva Espinosa hit .664 and Amarrea Thomas hit over .500 too! Gabrielle Volz was also a beast at the plate hitting .400.
Bombers 8u McMillian finished 3rd on the weekend. They competed hard and showed heart. Pool play MVPs were Scout Sheffield and Gentry McMillian. (Chosen by opposing coaches). Bombers 10u Sheffield and Bombers 14u Sheffield also finished 3rd. Both teams lost out in close games, but made us Bomber proud. 10u pool game MVPs were Madi Rose Walker and Jada Gonzalez. Aleena Ramirez and Brylee Chandler also had great performances  on the field. 14u MVPs were Julianna Ethridge and Rylee Greenway.
Bombers are having fall tryouts July 18th and 19th in Brownwood at Bert Massey Sports Complex. 8u and 10u are 5:30-7pm both days and 12u and 14u are 7:00-8:30pm both days! Come check out the Bombers!
