In accordance with Texas Local Government Code §211.007, and Section 98-84 of the City’s Code of Ordinances, a public hearing will be held by the City of Brownwood Planning and Zoning Commission on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 501 Center Avenue, Brownwood, Texas, for the purpose of receiving comments on the following requests:
Consider recommending to City Council to revise the existing ordinance Chapter 98-Zoning, of the Code of Ordinances, Subpart B – Land Use Regulations, Article VI -Telecommunications regarding the placement of towers supporting wireless telecommunications facilities (WTF’s).
The purpose of this Zoning Change request is to discourage commercial development within a residential neighborhood and to create zoning more practical for the area in which the above-listed properties are located.
It is requested that you make your views known, either in person, by writing, or by a duly authorized representative to aid the Planning and Zoning Commission in determining the proper action on this request. Following the public hearing, the Commission may recommend the proposed request to the City Council.
