10u glory Potts competed in the Summer Slam tournament in Duncanville this weekend. “It was a 10-team tournament, and we were very excited to face some new competition from the Dallas area,” said head coach Kelcy Sliger Potts. The team went undefeated in pool play and entered bracket as the number 2 seed. Glory continued their streak as they won their first 3 bracket games and earned a place in the championship. The team faced Texas Glory out of McKinney in the championship and won 9-4. Glory-Potts pitchers faced 77 batters for the weekend and only allowed 6 hits. Offensively, glory maintained a team batting average of .455 allowing them to outscore their opponents 53-7. Brooke Wright was awarded MVP of tournament for her perseverance in the circle. Summer Slam is the sixth 1st place ring earned by 10u glory this season.
