The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of May 25:
LAKE BROWNWOOD
Fishing is good. Water slightly stained; 76-81 degrees; 3.47 feet low.
Bass are good to 5.50 pounds on crankbaits around the rocky shorelines feeding around the perch beds. Most are in a summer pattern.
Crappie are good to one pound on minnows and on black/chartreuse or white color jigs from 8-12 feet in brush piles and around lighted docks.
White bass are good to 1.50 pounds on small swimbaits or crankbaits and under the lights.
Catfish are slow on cut bait and liver around the flats in 6-12 feet of water.
LAKE CISCO
Fishing is GREAT. Water stained; 75 degrees; 4.80 feet low. The cooler weather and rain has improved the bite.
Crappie, bass, channel and flathead catfish are all biting well with live perch, bombers, and minnows.
LAKE COLEMAN
Fishing is slow. Water slightly stained; 75 degrees; 2.91 feet low. Fishing patterns are similar with the best bite early and late as the days heat up.
Bass are good with some topwater action early, and then switching to diving crankbaits, or senkos.
Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs on main lake brush piles.
Catfish are fair on cut bait.
Hybrid stripers are fair starting to school with some topwater action.
LAKE O.H. IVIE
Fishing is GREAT. Water clear; 75 degrees; 18.41 feet low.
White bass are good with live bait, jigs and crankbaits.
Crappie are good with jigs and minnows.
Largemouth bass are good.
Catfish are good on prepared baits, live and cut bait.
LAKE PROCTOR
Fishing is good. Water stained; 78 degrees; 3.01 feet low.
White bass are good on slabs. Striped bass are slow. Black bass are poor.
Crappie are fair at the crappie docks on jigs.
Catfish area slow around rocky shores and fair at the back of the lake.
