For the first time in more than two years, the monthly sales tax allocation for the City of Brownwood was lower than the same month in the previous year. Early and Bangs both had increases this month, but at a much lower rate than in previous months this year. BROWNWOOD
The City of Brownwood collected $683,970 in May, down 7.88% from May 2021. Fiscal year to date (October 2021 through May 2022) Brownwood has collected $4,446,198, an increase of 6.39%.
The Brownwood Municipal Development District collected $213,225 in May, down 5.76% from May 2021. Fiscal year to date the Brownwood MDD has collected $1,444,093, up 7.65%.
EARLY
The City of Early collected $214,045 in May, an increase of 6.65% over May 2021. Fiscal year to date Early has collected $1,518,644, up 46.25%.
The Early Municipal Development District collected $69,047 in May, up 7.23% over May 2021. Fiscal year to date the Early MDD has collected $496,662, an increase of 47.72%.
BANGS
The City of Bangs collected $24,367 in May, an increase of 4.28% over May 2021. Fiscal year to date Bangs has collected $154,743, up 16.24%.
The Bangs Municipal Development District collected $3,155 in May, an increase of 3.14% over May 2021. Fiscal year to date the Bangs MDD has collected $22,550, up 15.50%.
