City elections will take place in Brown County on Saturday, May 7 and early voting begins Monday, April 25. Early voting will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, April 25 through Friday, April 29 and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m Monday, May 2 and and Tuesday, May 3 at through at the Elections Office at 613 N. Fisk.
The following are the races taking place within Brown County, with a list of candidates:
- Brownwood Mayor: Incumbent Stephen Haynes, Patrick McLaughlin IV
- Early School Board Place 4: Incumbent Bobby Brinson, Andrew Castanuela.
- Bangs City Council (Three seats): Incumbent Marisa Craddock, Danny Marney, Waymond Sheppard, William Loyd, and Greg Parrott. (Anita Purcell, and Sheila Roberts not seeking re-election)
- Bangs School Board 3-year term (vote for up to two) Incumbent Eric Lykins, incumbent Dennis Sanchez and Sandra Lehman
- Bangs School Board Unexpired term (vote for one) Joshua Purcell, Jennifer Valdez McCoy, and Brooke Loyd. (Jerry Roberts is not seeking re-election)
- Brown County Water Improvement District #1 Board of Directors (vote up to two): Incumbent Bert Massey, Joe Stieber, Brad Simpson. (Ted Simpson is not seeking re-election).
- Brookesmith ISD $9.95 million bond vote (Bonds will used for various projects throughout the district, such as new HVAC equipment, campus renovations and improvements, acquisition of land and a possible football/track and athletic complex)

- Brownwood City Council Ward 1 H.D. Jones (incumbent, no opponent filed)
- Brownwood City Council Ward 4 Draco Miller (incumbent, no opponent filed)
- Early City Council: Leland Acker, Benny Allcorn, and Charles Matlock. (incumbents, no opponents filed)
- Early School Board Place 3 Rob Welker (incumbent, no opponent filed)
- Early School Board Place 5 Shawn Russell (incumbent, no opponent filed)
- Blanket City Council: Scotty Isham, Alley Jones, and Dominique Suentzenich (incumbent, no opponents filed)
- Blanket School Board: Beth Boyer, Robert Rodgers, and Autumn Hood (incumbents, no opponents filed)
On Tuesday May 24, run-off elections will be held for Brown County Judge between incumbent Paul Lilly and Shane Britton, Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 between incumbent Ted Perez and Harold “H.Q.” Thomas, and Precinct 2 County Commissioner between incumbent Joel Kelton and Jeff Hoskinson.
