The Brown County Fairgrounds on Saturday, April 23 will be the site of “A Fun Feast at the Fairgrounds” with a Ranch Rodeo, Bug Bash and Bull Bash.
The Ranch Rodeo begins at 11 a.m. as cowboys will compete for the best times in 5 events in day-to-day ranch life – mugging, doctoring, trailering, stray gathering, and sorting. Entry fee is $1,000 per team with an 80 percent payback. First place is 40% plus buckles, second place is 25% and third place is 15%. The crawfish (mud bugs) be ready at noon and will be served as long as they last. All proceeds from the crawfish boil will go to area volunteer fire departments.
The evening will conclude with the Bull Bash bull riding event at 7 p.m., and mutton busting will take place prior to the start of the action.
