Joe Edward Row, age 87, of Coleman, died Monday, April 11, 2022, at his residence.
The family will host a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends are invited to a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Whittington officiating. Interment will follow in the Gouldbusk Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.
Joe was born October 29, 1934, in Gouldbusk to Ray Row and Ruth Arnold Row. He grew up in Gouldbusk and graduated from Mozelle High School. Joe married Joan Yvonne Savage on May 6, 1957, in Gouldbusk. He was a machinist, working in Midland, Houston, Corpus Christi, Alice, and Utah. He then returned to Coleman where he and Joan made their home. Joe was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Coleman where he served as a deacon. Joy enjoyed driving around, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved his family and took immense pride in their accomplishments. He will be missed.
Preceding Joe in death are his parents, Ray and Ruth Row; his wife, Joan Savage Row; his daughter, Charlotte Ann Row; his brothers, Bennie Row, Van Row, Jim Row, Truman Row, and Doyce Row; his great-grandson, Lucas Row; and son-in-law, Mike Gallaher.
He is survived by one son, Steven Ray Row and wife Mary of Coleman; two daughters, Sherry Gallaher of Coleman and Linda Davis Row and husband Michael of Coleman; his grandchildren, Vance Rice, Raley Rice, Kristy Meador, Justin Allcorn, Michael Gallaher, Jr., Constance Burnham, Stephanie Gallaher, Joe Reese Row, Rachael Row, Daniel Row, Candice Staggs, Natalie Row, Richard Rose, Scott Rose, Dan Rose, and Michael Rose; 40 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Bonnie Fannin and husband Phil of Columbus, Ohio.
