The following fishing reports are provided by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the week of April 6:
LAKE BROWNWOOD
Fishing is slow. Water stained; 60-63 degrees; 2.44 feet low.
Bass are good up to 10-pounds on jigs, crankbaits, and swimbaits in 1-10 feet of water.
Crappie are excellent on Lil Fishies in 12-feet of water.
White bass are excellent on crankbaits and swimbaits in 2-6 feet of water.
LAKE CISCO
Fishing is good. Water clear; 62 degrees; 3.84 feet low. There are good fishing reports throughout the lake on crappie, bass, channel cat and carp.
The crappie spawn continues and the bite is good on minnows and jigs.
Bass are shallow on spawning beds biting creature baits, RatLTraps and divers.
Channel and blue catfish are good on earthworms moving to shallower water.
The carp have been coming to the shore surface creating easy hunting conditions for bow and blowgun fishing.
LAKE COLEMAN
Fishing is slow. Water slightly stained; 58 degrees; 2.10 feet low. The water is warming and fish should be moving shallow.
Bass are fair shallow biting on crankbaits, chatterbaits, and RatLTraps.
Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs on brush piles.
Catfish are fair on cut bait.
LAKE O.H. IVIE
Fishing is GREAT. Water clear; 50-54 degrees; 17.10 feet low.
White bass are on fire with live bait or jigs at the mouths of rivers in 18-24 feet of water.
Crappie are slow 18 feet of water, jigs and minnows.
Largemouth bass are good shallow.
Catfish are good shallow on prepared baits, and cut bait for those bigger fish.
LAKE PROCTOR
Fishing is fair. Water clear; 62 degrees; 1.96 feet low.
Sand bass are fair on RatLTraps off points.
Crappie are good in shallow water.
Catfish are fair at the back of the lake.
Black bass are fair in less than 6-feet of water. Hybrid striped bass are slow.
