The Texas A&M Forest Service at 9 a.m. Wednesday offered the last updates on statewide wildfires, including the Ramsey Fire between Blanket and May which has burned an estimated 3,100 acres and is 80% contained.
The Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS) firefighters responded to 11 wildfires that burned 32,958 acres. There are currently 10 large fires burning across the state.
Today’s fire environment of critically dry to extremely dry fuel and critical fire weather will support moderate to high significant fire potential in South Texas, Western Hill Country, and eastern Trans Pecos.

– Canadian River Bottom Fire, Roberts/Hemphill County – est. 30,000 acres, 10% contained
– Dean Fire, Cochran County – 663 acres, 95% contained
– Jesus Maria Fire, Kenedy County – est. 650 acres, 75% contained
– Roper Fire, Gonzales County – 180 acres, 95% contained
– Nunn Fire, Jeff Davis County – est. 600 acres, 20% contained
– Crittenberg Complex, Coryell County – est. 33,206 acres, 70% contained
– Das Goat Fire, Medina County – 1,092 acres, 95% contained
– Bosque River Fire, Bosque County – est. 700 acres, 90% contained
– West Nueces Fire, Kinney County – est. 1,750 acres, 40% contained
– Eastland Complex, Eastland County – est. 54,513 acres, 90% contained. The complex consists of 7 fires that are being managed together:
– Kidd Fire, Eastland County (42,333 acres, 80% contained)
– Oak Mott Fire, Brown County (4,031 acres, 95% contained)
– Wheat Field Fire, Eastland County (7,268 acres, 95% contained)
– Mangum Fire, Eastland County (est. 11 acres, 100% contained)
– Walling Fire, Eastland County (383 acres, 100% contained)
– Blowing Basin Fire, Eastland County (258 acres, 100% contained)
– Cedar Mountain Fire, Eastland County (229 acres, 100% contained)
