Registered nurses are in great demand, and everyone needs excellent health care. The Texas Center for Nursing Workforce Studies projects the demand for full-time registered nurses in Texas to grow by 38.8% by 2032.  Ranger College offers multiple tracks to become a licensed nurse professional: a one-year vocational nursing certificate, a three-semester bridge program for vocational nurses to become registered nurses, and a four-semester traditional registered nursing program leading to the associate of applied science in nursing. All programs prepare students to take a national examination to become licensed nurses. The programs are approved by the Texas Board of Nursing.

The mission of Ranger College is to transform lives and give students the skills to be a positive influence in their communities. The registered nursing faculty take this mission seriously. Our highly qualified registered nursing instructors have a minimum of a Master of Science degree in nursing, with all having extensive healthcare experience. Faculty prioritize their students’ success. According to nursing student representative, Jaclyn Webb, “The Ranger College nursing faculty really care about students and their success in the program.  They do their best to create a family-like, supportive learning atmosphere.”

Registered nursing is an exciting, fulfilling, and stable career pathway, and Ranger College offers a cost-effective, student focused pathway to become a nurse. The deadline to apply for the Ranger College RN program is May 15, 2022, for the fall admission.
