GLEN ROSE – The Brownwood Lions golf team placed eighth at the Dinosaur Invitational over the weekend, competing mostly against a field of Class 6A and 5A teams.

The Lions finished with a 657 team score, carding an opening round 323 followed by a closing 334.

Sir Bubba Jones paced Brownwood with a 155 following rounds of 76 and 79 trailed by Hudson Reagan with a 158 after rounds of 81 and 77, Ethan Waldrop with a 168 after an opening 88 and closing 80, Caleb Modawell with a 176 as he started with a 78 and finished with a 98, and Cobe Walker as he notched a 191 with a 91 on the first day and a 100 on the second.

The Lions will be back in action at the 36-hole state preview tournament in Kingsland March 11-12.
