LLANO – The Early Lady Horns softball team improved to 10-2 on the season with wins of 18-0 over Brady and 14-1 over Ingram Moore Friday at the Llano softball tournament.
In the win over Brady, Early scored 10 runs in the first inning, five in the second and three more runs in the third.
In the circle, Teagan Lopez and Jordyn McIntire combined on a no-hitter with four strikeouts.
At the plate, the Lady Horns recorded 12 hits. Offensive standouts included Jordan Simmons with two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs; McIntire with two hits and five RBIs; Taylor Summers with two hits and two RBIs; Marissa Reedy with two hits; Averey Horton with one hit and two RBIs; Lopez, Stoney McLaughlin and Trinity Torrez with one hit and one RBI apiece; and Grace LaRue with two RBIs.
Against Ingram Moore, Early tallied nine runs in the first inning and five more in the second.
The eight-hit attack featured two and two RBIs from Reedy; two and one RBI from LaRue; one and two RBIs from Summers and Torrez; and one and three RBIs each from Aubrey Greaves and McLaughlin.
LaRue and McIntire combined to allow one run on one hit with three strikeouts and three walks in the circle.
The Lady Horns will face Jarrell at 4:45 p.m. Saturday to wrap up tournament action.
