EARLY – The Early Lady Horns softball team improved to 7-2 on the season with a 10-0 triumph over Class 4A San Angelo Lake View Tuesday.
Early scored six runs in the third inning and four more in the fourth as the game ended after five innings due to the run rule.
In the circle, Teagan Lopez tossed a two-hit shutout with six strikeouts and three walks.
At the plate, Stoney Laughlin finished with two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs, while Aubrey Greaves also tallied a pair of hits with three RBIs. Grace LaRue added two hits while Jordan Simmons, Marissa Reedy and Jordyn McIntire each contributed a hit and an RBI. Taylor Summers drove in a run as well, while Gabby Leal and Trinity Torrez chipped in base hits.
The Lady Horns are back in action Thursday through Saturday at the Llano tournament.
