Six members of the District 6-4A runner-up Brownwood Lions basketball received all-district honors from the coaches of the league, which were released Monday.
Earning a superlative award for the Lions was Jakob Hataway, who was named Offensive MVP.
Landing the first team were Luke Moss, Christian Kinzler, and Bryson Monroe.
Tristan Salinas was a second-team choice, while Weston Burns received honorable mention.
The rest of the 6-4A superlative winners were MVP Nate Borchardt of Lampasas; Defensive MVP Kaedon Crawford of Lampasas; Newcomer of the Year Rayshon Smith of Gatesville; Co-6th Men of the Year: Tristan Black of Glen Rose and Johnki Gardner of Lampasas; and Coach of the Year Aaron Nuckles of Lampasas.
Rounding out the first team were Dax Brookreson of Lampasas; Glen Rose’s Cross Arrington,Caden Smith and Dylan Ellis; Gatesville’s Tyler Shea and Jack Carroll; and Kallan Kimbrough of Stephenville.
Comprising the rest of the second team were Quin Pace, Tak Stinett, and Luke Shivers of Lampasas; Jacob Kornman and Bryce Birl of Glen Rose; Carter Williams of Gatesville; and Hyson Foreman and Carson Sandford of Stephenville.
The Lions finished with a 24-10 overall record, 6-2 in district, and won a bi-district championship in their first season under head coach Will Parker.
