A graveside funeral service for Ricky Dale Phillips, age 67, of Brownwood, will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, February 14, 2022, in the Rocky Creek Cemetery, with Bill Slaymaker officiating.

Heartland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ricky was born March 19, 1954, to Lawrence and Frankie Phillips in Loraine. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 31, 2022.

Ricky was blessed with two children, Amanda Phillips and Ricky E Phillips. In 2002 he met his longtime companion, Connie Campbell. He enjoyed all the family get togethers and relished the opportunity to spoil grandchildren.

Ricky was a truck driver for most of his life. It never took long when he came home for the highway to start calling him out again. He was happiest when he was on the road. Ricky also loved watching old westerns, especially anything with John Wayne. He had quite a collection of John Wayne memorabilia.

Ricky is survived by his son Ricky E Phillips; companion Connie Campbell; Connie’s family which included daughter Kimberly Clowdus and husband Brook, son Kenny Campbell and wife Gretchen; grandchildren Kelsey Collins and husband Brice, Hunter Campbell and wife Nikki, Chloe Clowdus, Hanner Campbell; great grandchildren Aubree Bostick, Wyatt Campbell, Bode Collins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Amanda.
