EASTLAND – The Early Longhorns improved to 20-10 on the season and 7-4 in District 8-3A action with a 66-56 road victory over Eastland Monday.

Vic Cooper led Early with 27 points against Eastland (10-15, 3-8) followed by Jeremy Brown with 23 points, John Hill with seven, Jaxyn Price with five and John-Stewart Gordon with four points.

The Longhorns are back in action at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday as they host Dublin (12-10, 7-4) in a battle of teams tied for third place in the league standings.

EASTLAND 60, LADY HORNS 44

EASTLAND – The Early Lady Horns were eliminated from postseason contention with a 60-44 road loss at Eastland Monday night.

Eastland (19-13, 8-5) locked up District 8-3A’s fourth and final playoff seed with the win over Early (11-18, 5-8).

No additional information was available.

The Lady Horns will close their season at 6 p.m. Tuesday at home against Dublin.
