The start of 70th Brown County Youth Fair is less than a week away, and royalty will be crowned at the beginning at the end of the week.
More than 860 livestock projects and more than 850 home economics projects that will be shown by students.
On Monday, Jan. 10 during the Fashion Show in the Home Economics building, the Junior Miss and Princess will be crowned. Junior Miss contestants include Annabelle Hill, Hutsyn Hohertz, Aisy McCleery, and Gentry Shepard, while Princess contestants are Karyme Dominguez, Kensi Willis, and Cyndea Wilson.
On Saturday, Jan. 15 prior to the start of the Premium Sale, the Brown County Youth Fair Queen will be crowned. Contestants include Rylie Guerrero, Watts Jones, and Kourtney Peacock.
Reigning royalty are 2021 Queen Rylah Morgan, Junior Miss Taylor Simpson, and Princess Taylor Simpson.
The first Brown County Youth Fair Queen was crowned in 1953 – Henrietta Hill Grooms.
Last year, the Premium Sale raised $852,000.

Appearance Judging, 4:30 p.m.
Pictures will be taken individually and as a group at this time. These may be used by judge later in day if needed.
Fashion Show Practice (Mandatory Participation) will be as soon as each contestant goes before the judge in their last garment or if there is a length of time between garments they may practice then, they must sign off on list when they practice.
Construction will be judged after appearance judging and lunch break for judges. Only judges and authorized persons allowed at this time.
