Darla Jean (Fincher) Farrington, 69, of Lake Brownwood passed away Friday, December 31, 2021. A graveside service will be held at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Tuesday, January 4, 2022 with Bob Smithson officiating.
Darla or “Doozie” as her family called her, was born October 24, 1952 in Stanton, Texas to Kenneth Walter and Winona Jean Fincher. She attended Midland High School and married Nolan Farrington in August of 1971. Darla was a devoted wife, mother and Mimi. Family was of utmost importance. She loved the Lord and shared her faith generously. She was a strong steadfast, dependable woman with a servant’s heart. Always willing to help others. Her biggest accomplishment in life was her daughter, Amanda, who blessed her with two precious granddaughters. She will be missed by family and friends but we all know she’s arrived at her eternal home.
Darla is survived by her beloved husband, Nolan Farrington of Lake Brownwood; daughter, Amanda Lara and husband Chris of Early; granddaughters, Landri and Rylee Lara of Early; sisters, Gail Fincher of Midland & Tina Coleman and husband Kelly of Midland; brother, Kevin Fincher and wife Annie of Midland; Brothers-in-law, Connie Ray Farrington of Big Spring & Roger Farrington and wife Brenda of Burleson; and many nieces, nephews & friends.
Darla was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Winona Jean Fincher.
