ABILENE – The Brownwood Lady Lions dropped their second consecutive outing Friday afternoon, falling at Class 5A Abilene Wylie by a 57-26 count.
The Lady Lions trailed 18-6 after one quarter, 33-18 at halftime, and 49-22 through three periods.
Brownwood (11-7) shot 25 percent (9 of 36) from the floor, 44 percent (4 of 9) at the three-point arc, and 50 percent (4 of 8) at the free throw line. The Lady Lions also committed 32 turnovers, created 14 steals and tallied 24 rebounds.
Kynslee Walker scored a team-high 11 points for the Lady Lions trailed by Tessa Goodwin with six, Jaylen Savage with four, Kassidy Wooten with three, and Lexi Greer for two points.
Wylie (5-6) received 17 points from Kaylan Adams, 15 from Indiah Maroney, and 12 points from Kenyah Maroney.
The Lady Lions will host San Angelo Lake View at 11:30 a.m. Monday in their final outing before Christmas.
