The Brownwood Police Department issued the following press release Friday morning:
On Thursday, December 16, 2021, at approximately 10:50 p.m. officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 2400 block of 13th St. The caller on 911 stated that a female was chasing him with a knife.
When officers arrived in the area, they located the male victim standing outside his residence. The sound of a female screaming hostilities could be heard from inside the residence. The female was eventually located in the backyard of the residence and identified as 39-year-old April Marie Perot of Brownwood. Perot was very angry and refused to discuss the event, only stating that she was moving out and we could help her with the furniture.
The male victim stated that he’s been in a relationship with Perot ‘off and on’ for many months. He did not know why she suddenly became angry and chased him with a knife.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Perot was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Weapon and transported to the Brown County Jail without further incident.
