BALLINGER – The Brownwood Lions stretched their win streak to seven games with a 91-37 triumph over Anson Friday night at the Ballinger boys basketball tournament.
The Lions (9-3) led Anson (3-5) by a 26-11 count after one quarter, 50-27 at halftime, and 69-34 through three frames.
Five Lions finished in double figures – Jakob Hataway with 20 points followed by Luke Moss with 13, Bryson Monroe and Ike Hall with 11 each and Christian Kinzler and Seth Oines with 10 points apiece. Tristan Salinas tacked on eight points, Thad Hinds chipped in four and Weston Burns contributed two.
Anson received 11 points from Blake Vinson and 10 from Dylyn Pyle.
The Lions will conclude Ballinger tournament action at 8:30 a.m. Saturday against Coleman.
